Bolivia

Bolivia was another logical stop after Chile. When I was in San Pedro de Atacama many there was a tour directly to Uyuni in Bolivia to see places as Salar de Uyuni which is another amazing wonder of nature. Before I went to Bolivia I dint know too much about it. My only knoweledge was from my research of Uyuni position in Google map and some basic info from the internet. I mean my plans weren't further than Chile so, this adventure brought me to country without any expectations Bolivia doesn’t belong amongst the popular destinations, you just know something about Chile or Peru but Bolivia being avoided by a lot of tourist.

Now I can say, it is really pity, this is special South American' country and yet is getting overlook, surpass by its neighbors. Avoided by tourist who rather prefer to go around from Chile to Peru and skip this marvelous place. When I came to Bolivia, I got charmed and just I stayed for another 3 months there. I evolve, from to be completely  nothing to meet somebody special, to improve significantly my Spanish from 0 to communication level and leaving with pleasant experience, with beautiful memories which I will never forget. Still, Bolivia is quite tough place and yet it did not stop to people smile or enjoy small details of lives because as we know they are most important :)

- Sucre is the nation's capital, established in 1538 by the Spanish invaders. The city center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, filled with 15th and 16th century Spanish colonial architecture. Among the city's most unique attractions is the Cal Orkco - where a number of dinosaur footprints are impressed on a cement quarry that used to be a lake.

La Paz is Bolivia's 3rd most populous city and considered to be the highest administrative capital of the world at 3700m above sea level. Though Sucre is officially Bolivia's capital, La Paz is the nation's seat of government. It attracts tourists for its unique setting, closely-packed houses, colonial architecture, and dramatic views of the mountain peaks around it.

- Bolivia is the highest and most isolated of all of the Latin American countries.
There are over 30 official languages in Bolivia, as well as 36 native cultures.
Bolivia is the world's largest cocoa cultivator - with over 24,400 hectares dedicated to cocoa farming.
Only 30% of the country's road are paved. The Road of Death is found in Bolivia, considered to be the world's most dangerous road.
